Abstract
Following the Executive Committee statement, “Support the SUNY Faculty Council of Community Colleges: Defend Foundational Shared Governance Principles,” this resolution affirms the centrality of shared governance, defends the right of elected faculty and professional staff to represent their colleagues free from intimidation, interference, or obstruction, and condemns administrative actions that diminish these principles.

SUNY affirms the principles of shared governance and supports the exercise of these principles, both at individual campuses and System-wide. SUNY remains committed to protecting meaningful participation in shared governance across the system and to supporting the structures that allow it to function effectively.
