Abstract
The Open Cyber Arena Virtual Lab aims to enhance our reach and ability to deliver high quality, experiential cybersecurity learning in the form of virtual labs, accompanying videos and instructor-controlled, virtual lab classrooms for their students. This project will scale up our existing Open Cyber Arena (2018 SUNY IITG Tier 2) with a focus on teaching students technical and cybersecurity literacy in a safe and secure manner. The proposed curriculum material to be developed addresses the need for introductory, hands-on virtual cybersecurity labs that are easy to deploy and use by remote instructors and learners. Where technologically feasible, these virtual labs will also be available for download to be run as a virtual machine locally on a student's computer.
Description
The next step is to identify other disciplines and lab content that will benefit from a similar, self-service, virtual lab platform. Adding
new labs and virtual machines to grow the catalog of lab content will scale-up the project even further.
