Abstract This paper explores high functioning youth on the spectrum, specifically autism/asperger syndrome with coexisting anxiety. The paper will identify some of the best therapies for youth with high functioning autism/asperger syndrome who experience anxiety. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) will be explored in some depth as a primary therapy utilized with this population.
