Abstract
Plymouth State University has a culture of collaboration and innovation. Fall 2006 saw the opening of the Learning Commons at Lamson Library and an opportunity to implement Blackboard as our electronic reserves system. The library exclusively uses Blackboard for electronic reserves. Faculty submit requests either in person or online, copyright is obtained, and materials are inserted in their courses. All procedures and training for faculty are handled within the Learning Commons. For students and faculty, all e-reserves are contained within their courses, allowing PSU to continue to expand the concept of “one-stop shopping” that is a foundation of the Learning Commons.
