Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how parental involvement affects student academic achievement and academic performance. The researcher surveyed students and their parents to find out the amount of participation each had in education and the effect on their GPA. The results showed that there was a correlation between parental participation and the GPA of the student. Other siblings often affected the level of participation, as well as work related commitments. The research showed that parental involvement is a key component in student success academically and motivation.
