Abstract

The life of Henry Kowalsky is one of continuous, underhanded activities that show how his infamous work as a lobbyist for King Leopold II and the Congo Free State was not an isolated event. With that, the work he did under Leopold was not well done nor crucial in the lobbying effort and even then, he was not even the only lobbyist to later expose their correspondence with Leopold. Rather, this event was one of many sketchy situations that Kowalsky participated in in his lifetime.
