Abstract
Wildlife society honors the Adirondack Ecological Center; the award honors “a group of wildlife professionals working together, for outstanding professional accomplishments in the wildlife field in New York State.” A $600,000 grant from the National Science Foundation will provide 24 ESF students with an opportunity to do hands-on research while tackling biological questions relevant to the people and ecosystems of the Adirondacks. The grant from the NSF’s Undergraduate Mentoring in Environmental Biology (UMEB) program funds a new project titled Integrating Science and Stewardship in the Adirondacks. Finally a look back at the great career of Ray Masters, a friend and a wonderful teacher who’s impacts will not go forgotten.
