Abstract
The STOP-DWI program that is currently being implemented in New York’s Ontario County is in existence in order to discourage alcohol and drug induced driving. This program has decreased drinking and driving as well as drug usage. The quantitative data will show the decreases in accidents and arrests caused by DUIs and DWIs. The data collected was then compared to other counties for the last ten years in the surrounding areas in order to see how significant the program is on arrests and accidents relative to alcohol and drug abuse.The purpose of our experiment is to analyze how the strategies currently being implemented by Ontario County have caused their branch of the STOP-DWI program to be acknowledged as the best program in the state.
