Abstract
This poster describes the effectiveness of trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) when used with children experiencing post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). This poster summarizes TF-CBT, TF-CBT's goals, targets and desired outcomes, the nature of the evidence supporting TF-CBT, and future research needs to focus on to enhance TF-CBT's level of empirical support. This poster provides an overview of PTSD in children, the diagnostic criteria for PTSD, and etiology.
