Abstract
This zine emerges from a course taught in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at SUNY New Paltz in Spring 2024 called Gender, Race, and Work. The course and the zine utilize feminist theories of work and labor to illuminate the complex forms of identification and subjectification that work entails and enacts. We think through an intersectional feminist lens that acknowledges the multiplicity and complexity of identities to see how work has manifested along gendered and racialized lines both historically and today. Through a series of keywords and concepts, students explore theories and histories related to gender, race, and work in the pages of this zine.
