Abstract
SUNY Poly Elite Engineering Design, better known as SPEED, has recently been awarded a contract through the New York State Thruway Authority in order to perform the task of creating a new New York State Thruway Interchange for the Utica, NY area. SPEED has been given the task of preparing a feasibility study as well as the preliminary designs for the new interchange that will become known as Exit 31A. These preliminary designs include the new interchange as well as the new proposed toll booth.
