Abstract
The Department of Physics, in collaboration with the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry and the Department of Earth Sciences, is [proposing to create a program in Engineering Technology. The proposed B.S. Engineering Technology degree will target students who want to pursue engineering and are looking for a school that offers a dedicated program. We believe the specializations in Sustainable Energy, Advanced Manufacturing and Semiconductor Materials will appeal to students interested in creating a more sustainable world and address the need for a technologically trained workforce in Upstate New York. Upon graduation of the inaugural class, accreitation for the program will be sought from the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
