Abstract
The accounting faculty is proposing following changes to the B.S. Degree in Accounting: add two new elective courses, ACC387 Financial Statement Analysis and ACC484 Internal Audit and Control, and change ACC486 Advanced Accounting from current required course to elective course. The purpose is to allow more electives in accounting curriculum to provide opportunities for students to select courses more in line with their career goals by changing the exiting choice of one of ACC488 or ACC489 to a choice of two of ACC 486, 488, 489, 387, and 484 (where ACC 387 and ACC484 are the two new proposed courses).
