Abstract
Recommendation of the Academic Policies Committee approved by the Faculty Senate on March 18, 1968. 1) Be it resolved that for teacher certification in Secondary Science and Social Science the program shall parallel the pattern of Majors and Minors of other programs in the catalog and that certification requirements not fulfilled while completing Majors and Minors shall be fulfilled by the use of elective hours. 2) Be it resolved that all approved Majors must contain a minimum of 12 semester hours of upper division courses, defined as 300 or 400 level courses. Exceptions may be requested for special programs. 3) Be it resolved that the present Inter-disciplinary Major in Social Sciences be removed from the curriculum.

Effective for persons beginning majors from this date on.
