Abstract
Extensive proposal to create a program in the Professional Entity of the undergraduate Physical Education unit to provide a concentration of courses and experiences for students who wish to prepare for positions in the area of care and prevention of athletic injuries. The concentration will include two options, both which include the same course requirement, but differ in that teacher certification is required for those students desiring to complete the requirements for entrance to the certification examination in athletic training as specified by the Board of Certification of the National Athletic Trainers Association.
