Abstract
This proposal highlights a change in the Therapeutic Recreation curriculum. Effective January 1, 2022, the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (credentialing body for Therapeutic Recreation profession) changed its certification requirements from 15 hours to a minimum of18 credit hours. This requires the TR core to increase from 5 courses to 6 courses. In order to make this change without altering the total credit hours REL 407 is replacing REL 406 for Therapeutic Recreation students.
