Abstract

Andrew D. Virgilio graduated from SUNY Brockport in 1949. He served in the Air Force in World War Two and was part of the large group of veterans who attended Brockport in the late forties. Virigilio worked in an East Rochester elementary school as a teacher and principal until 1960, and taught at St. John's University for one year before becoming Principal of the Campus School at Brockport. He retained that position until the closure of the Campus School in the late sixties, and then served in an administrative roles at SUNY Brockport until 1987. During this later period he also served in various roles in the New York State Legislature.
