Abstract

SUNY Brockport's Scholars Day was instituted in 1984 through the efforts of the Faculty Senate. Scholars Day has continued as a celebration of scholarly pursuits by the campus community. Scholars Day has several purposes: 1. To publicize research, including methodologies and conclusions; 2. To share new ideas and concepts; 3: To expand one's knowledge base beyond the traditional classroom; 4. To socialize with campus citizens outside one's own department and school. This year there are over 138 presentations made by over 220 faculty, staff and students taking place on campus. There will be exhibits in the corridors of Edwards Hall and special presentations throughout the day in the Lennon Hall planetarium and in our interactive telecommunication classes in 107 & 108 Edwards. We hope you enjoy the day as much as we do. I
