Abstract
John Hoppenthaler, author of three books of poetry from Carnegie Mellon Press: Domestic Garden, Anticipate the Coming Reservoir, and Lives of Water.. His work has been published widely in journals including Ploughshares, Virginia Quarterly Review, and The Southern Review. His newest collection of poems, Night Wing Over Metropolitan Area, was published in fall 2023. He received a BS in English from SUNY Brockport and an MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University. He teaches creative writing at East Carolina University
