Chancellor King's Response:
Shared governance is integral to the success of the SUNY System, and I remain
committed to communicating the importance of shared governance, modeling it at
the System level, and lifting up best practices for our campus leaders.
We appreciate the updates to the UFS Role in Supporting Campus-Level Shared Governance
document, and UFS’s consultation with campuses as a means to discuss matters of campus-
level shared governance that are at an impasse. I have asked the System Provost’s Office to
review the document and work with the UFS directly on any questions or concerns. It is
important that shared governance challenges continue to be resolved at the campus level.
