Abstract
In the Spring 2011 issue of the Spruce Moose we first take a look at the newly renamed Adirondack Interpretive Center at Huntington Wildlife forest, formerly operated by the Adirondack Park Agency. New additions to the AIC will include three educational programs; fly fishing, “Working Forests Working for You”, and “Northern Lights.” Also featured in this issue, twelve graduate students are brought together to conduct interdisciplinary hydrologic research over seven weeks. These students are from various educational backgrounds ranging from ecology to economics. The issue speaks about the alumni reunion of the Huntington Wildlife Forest. This event saw 70 visitors, where they were able to look back and share some of their favorite memories. Finally, the Spruce Moose features an Adirondack service adventure by the co-ed service fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega. This adventure lead a group of eager ESF and Syracuse University students to volunteer at the Adirondack Ecological Center.
