Abstract
This proposal seeks to change the name of the alcohol and Substance Abuse Studies (major and minor) to Addictions and Behavioral Health. The proposed name change would better reflect changes in the profession and future directions of the program. The field has moved away from using "alcohol and substance abuse" terminology in favor of the broader term "addictions."
