Abstract
This project was developed by the students of the Civil Engineering Technology Fall 2017 Capstone Design class of the State University of New York Polytechnic Institute. This class is a prerequisite to the conferment of a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Civil Engineering Technology from the institution.
This project focuses on the New York State Thruway Exit 31 interchange in Utica, New York. The primary objective was to analyze discrepancies and propose preliminary corrections for the outlook area with regards to the flow of traffic, adherence to standardized roadway regulations, and overall quality of life improvement.
