Abstract
This pilot would allow dismissed students who are within 12 quality points of academic good standing to remain as a student. On average, over the past 4 semesters, an average of 23 students per semester met these criteria. We eliminated the practice in 2012 due to limited options to support theses students and a difficult enrollment situation. This pilot would give a select group of students an opportunity to continue their education and return to good standing with support such as STEPS, repeating failed courses, and restricting credits (working with financial aid to determine if feasible.
