Abstract
from the introduction, ". . .In this paper, we will discuss the turbidity structures in the Hudson River estuary and propose a new mechanism for the genesis of turbidity maxima. It appears that one turbidity maximum in the Hudson River estuary is caused by tidally modulated and bathyrnetrically controlled incursion of salt-water fronts. A second maximum appears at the head of salt."
