Abstract
Success in the modern workplace requires an understanding for an appreciation of diversity - both that which exists within the US workforce as well as globally. In recognition of this, the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) lists global and intercultural fluency as an essential component of career readiness among college students. Join us for an engaging discussion with a panel of organizations from Western NY that exercise and display commitment to diversity in their workforce. We will discuss how they interpret their corporate responsibility to diversity in terms of how they hire, train, and manage talent within their organizations as well as what challenges they encounter.
GOAL/OUTCOME #1 Be familiar with the NACE competency: Global/Intercultural Fluency.
GOAL/OUTCOME #2 Learn how organizations hire, train, and manage talent within their organizations.
GOAL/OUTCOME #3 Identify how to locate and engage with organizations that exercise and display commitment to diversity and inclusion.
