This paper was completed as a final term paper for History 419: Civil War and Reconstruction for Dr. John Daly. This paper analyzes the role of women in the American Civil War as well as the lasting impacts that the war had on American women. Multiple factors are taken into consideration, including socioeconomic status, education levels, and race.
