Abstract
The Department of History offers two different versions each of Ancient World, Modern World, Early America and Modern America--one a large-lecture survey at the 110 level, the other a small seminar at the 200 levee. The History Minor is 18 credits. Students can take up to 9 credits at the 100/200 level, and will continue to be able to do so. Currently, they can take both versions of essentially the same course to count in the Minor. We are proposing to no longer allow that, because the material in the survey and seminar versions is so similar. For example, students could count HST110: Early American Survey in the History Minor or HST211: Early America Seminar, but not both. This replaces 70_2017-18
