Abstract
This proposal outlines a new 18-credit minor in "Outdoor Education and Recreation" jointly sponsored by the Departments of Kinesiology, Sport Studies and Physical Education (KSSPE) and Receation, Theraputic Recreation and Tourism (RTRT).
The porposed minor wound be housed within RTRT, and combine courses from both KSSPE and RTRT to form a 12-credit core. Students would then complete a minimum of six additional elective dredits, from a pool of courses drqwn from KSSPE, RTRT, and related disciplines across campus.
The learning outcome of the proposed minor is as follows: "Students completing this minor shall be able to design, implement, evaluate outdoor education and recreation services that facilitate targeted human experiences embracing personal an cultural dimensions of diersity.
