Description
I took this photo from the deck of a NYC Waterways ferry, looking up at the Brooklyn Bridge, which showcases the concept of symmetry. I love the shape of the bridge's Neo-Gothic towers, and the way the angle makes the suspension cables appear to cross like those four-pointed geometric stars we all learned to draw in junior high. This picture was taken on my young sons' first trip to New York City, during their first ride on a river ferry. We watched the Ken Burns Brooklyn Bridge documentary before we visited, and they were thrilled to see this iconic bridge up close in all its classic glory.
