Abstract
Immigrants from Bavaria, Simon and Moritz Landauer entered the mercantile industry at Macon Georgia shortly after their arrival to the United States in 1852. During the Civil War, the men fled the South and established themselves on Main Street in Albion, Simon running a successful business that remained in operation into the 1980s.
