Abstract
In order to more effectively prepare students majoring in physics for the requirements they face as graduate students, employees in private and public sector research and development, and secondary school physics teachers, we propose to undertake a thorough revision of the Physics major curriculum. This proposal includes a 3 credit increase in upperdivision physics, shifts some mathematics toward computational applications, and increases the emphasis on research related activities. The new major is in line with those at Brockport’s peer institutions.
