Abstract
Students in upper level GIS courses will be trained on using UAS (drone) technology with emphasis on GIS data processing to meet the growing demand of UAS savvy GIS workers. Over two semesters, students will be trained on UAS operation, GIS data collection from UAS, and advanced training in thermal IR image processing.
Description
This drone and GIS curriculum project is progressing well. The fall semester courses were a success as students greatly enjoyed the drone material. They also provided very positive results on course surveys on the lab content.
