Abstract
This presentation focuses on building a culture of data driven instruction by modeling a collaborative approach to viewing and analyzing data to plan appropriate instruction.
Description
This presentation will show how two teacher educators built a culture of data driven instruction by modeling a collaborative approach to viewing and analyzing data that in turn provided a rational for planning appropriate instruction. A systematic process where data was used as a catalyst for discussion and inquiry into planning, instruction and assessment (Love, 2009) appeared to be an eye opening learning experience where teacher candidates first hand used data as a way to inform best practices.
