Abstract

The son of an immigrant from French Canada, John Blodgett Bordwell was considered a local entrepreneur and "gentleman" while investing in real estate and engaging in the local quarrying of Medina Sandstone. After his death, his estate was placed into a trust, generating approximately $2,500 to $3,000 annually for local charitable interests.
