AbstractBrigida Daliendo, who is my mother, is an accountant and is married with three children was born in 1971 in Brooklyn, New York before residing in Glendale, New York for most of her life. Her parents immigrated from Sicily to the U.S. to live the life of the American dream. Her father Salvatore Burriesci was a butcher and Mother Maria was a stay-at-home housewife came to the United States to work and raise their family. We speak on very interesting topics from both of the past and the future regarding both cuisine and culture. She also told me how life was completely different for my grandparents once they came to America along with what her childhood was like growing up living as a first-generation Italian American here in the United States. My mother also gave an insight on everything that she had ended up learning from her parents which she ended up passing onto me, my sisters, and the rest of my family as time has gone on further into the future.
