dc.description.abstract | This proposal introduces flexibility into the Physics program by (1) allowing upper division courses to be offered every other year and (2) creating two paths by which students can earn a BS in Physics. The Standard Track leaves the total credits in Physics unchanged, while the Advanced Track adds ten (10) additional credits of Physics, including a semester-long research project. In both tracks, 3rd and 4th year students will choose from several electives to prepare themselves for a wide variety of career paths. Lastly, splitting the 2-credit sophomore lab into two 1-credit labs will result in a slight change in the Physics Minor. | en_US |
