Abstract
The largest shortage in nursing lies in Nursing Education. The proposed program is a Masters of Science in Nursing Education with emphasis on online pedagogy and instructional design. The program's purpose in to prepare mastered prepared nursing educators to work in both institutions of higher learning and health care. The content of this program will include learning and teaching theories and applications for face-to-ace, hybrid, synchronous and asynchronous teaching and learning, as well as simulation, laboratory and clinical venues. This program will incorporate four courses through EDI, which will provide graduates a Certification in Instructional Design.
