Abstract
Presently, the Department of Public Health and Health Education offers two academic majors: (a) Public Health Education, and (b) Health science (concentration in Consumer Health). This proposal calls for a substantial change to the Health Science (Consumer Health) program. Specifically, the major will now be named "Health and Society." No concentrations will be offered. A course in Consumer Health will be removed from the curriculum. A course entitled "ZIP codes, Community, and Health" will be added. The "Health and Society" program continues to be a thirty (30) credit program, consistent with the current "Health Science(Consumer Health)" offering. The Health and Society program will also be registered such that it can be completed in a 100% distance/online format.Collections
