    Abstract
Frances Folsom relocated to Medina, NY following the tragic death of her father in 1875. The young woman attended Medina High School while living with her maternal grandmother, Ruth Harmon, on Main Street in the village. It was eleven years after the death of her father that Frances was engaged to marry President Grover Cleveland, her father's law partner and family friend.
