Accepted by President Halstead 5/12/09 - Effective Fall 2009
There are four 21-credit specialty areas from which Interdisciplinary Arts for Children (IAC) students may choose toward fulfillment of the 48- credit major: art, dance, music, and theatre. Currently the most difficult specialty area for students to enter is the dance specialty. IAC students are required to pass the same audition taken by dance majors to gain access to the dance specialty. This proposal adds a second specialty in dance which does not require the rigorous audition, but includes current Department of Dance coursework open to non-majors.
