    Abstract
    An extensive proposal from the Music Department recommending several revisions in the Music Major. These include: an increase in the minimum requirement from 30 to 36 semester hours; definition of 18 semester hours of the 36 as a common requirement for all major students; the additional 18 semester hours distributed so as to include a balance of historical, theoretical and applied music courses according to published options; and the options include concentrations in Music History, Music Theory, Music Composition, Keyboard History & Technology, Early Music, Jazz Studies, Performance (History, Literature and Technique). Other options would be available through advisement.
