    Abstract
The Prezi represents the final projects in the Spring 2014 HISTORY 413/513 "Rochester Reform Trail" class at the State University of New York, The College at Brockport. Under the direction of Dr. Jose Torre, Associate Professor in the Department of History, students discovered the intersectionality of technology, religion, politics, economics, labor, race, and social forces in early 19th century Western New York. From the building of the Erie Canal, the spread of the Second Great Awakening, the Temperance Movement, the movements against slavery, the Woman's Rights Movement, and political unrest, Western New York provided fertile ground for many movements.
