Abstract
Whether we like it or not, many people use social media, from Facebook interaction to finding a date on OKCupid. As we consider both the frequency with which users rely on internet sites and the significance granted to their online presence, we subsequently understand the inherent and very real danger of deception, such as in false representations of both individuals and corporations. This project examines topics such as the different hidden experiments that both Facebook and OKCupid have done in the past on their users. The project also compares and contrasts popular websites such as these, and shares survey results regarding users' experience with online dating.
