Abstract

She placed a leg in her mouth and dragged the frog’s meat apart from the bone with her teeth. The princess then licked the blood off her fingers, peered up at me and smiled. “The French could never keep their promises.” She offered me the other leg. The story was inspired by a writing exercise I saw that asked for 5 things to be written down that would not happen in a library. The second prompt was to write a story about the list. It was a fun exercise that forced me to really think outside the box!
