    Abstract
Abstract: Overall improvements in medical care provided to the United States military have increased the survival rates of combat military personnel. This has changed the way our military veterans live after the survival with significant injuries and at time hidden injuries. Veterans are now living with physical injuries, visible and hidden as well as mental injuries. These veterans are being categorized as polytrauma, which includes a traumatic brain injury and PTSD, along with other potential disabilities. As clinicians, social workers need to be aware of these special needs individuals. This poster will review some mental health therapy options and attempt to determine the most effective approach to the treatment of these polytrauma veterans, with special needs.
