Abstract
Intimate partner violence (IPV) is a public health issue costing lives and money. This project examines the recovery of individuals from the trauma experienced by IPV, and discusses how micro and macro level interventions support recovery. Micro level interventions including screening for IPV, legal, economic, and psychological support. Macro level interventions including policy advocacy and legal interventions such as orders of protection, arrest and prosecution of perpetrators. Recommendations will be made for collaboration of micro and macro approaches in addressing IPV in our communities.
