Abstract
This poster session will present the multiple uses of Blackboard LMS on the University of Toronto Mississauga campus by departmental Liaison Librarians. These members of the Instructional Services Team have utilized many aspects of the LMS to assess, enrich and support information literacy and learning activities for both students and staff. This session will outline, for example, our information literacy assessment with first year classes; upper year assessment to target instructional learning outcomes; course specific embedded resource feeds with chat reference facility. The LMS has also been used to deliver targeted staff development in the area of reference services training. The training has focused on defining and locating primary sources due to the high demand for this type of material experienced by Reference and Research staff.
