    Abstract
"America does not fight for freedom, we fight over resources." This is a somewhat oversimplified vision of our involvement in Afghanistan, Iraq and other areas in the Middle East and around the world. In my travels as a soldier in Europe, the Middle East and around the United States, I have had a lot of experience with various aspects of the spiritual, religious, economic and cultural clashes that often lead our country into conflict with others. Through this session, I will attempt to illustrate the cultural and religious biases and economic stimuli that are often the real reason for conflict but is masked with religious or political overtones with severe social and environmental consequences.
