Abstract
Twenty hand-carved wooden gope boards from Papua, New Guinea are on display in Drake Memorial Library this fall. The gope boards showcase an array of artistry and provide a glimpse into New Guinea’s history and culture. The boards are a gift to the College from James Wassertrom. They may be of special interest to Anthropology, Art, History, Women and Gender Studies and other disciplines. Related books, photos and articles will be highlighted. All are invited.
